1 cup cream
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped chocolate
1/2 cup whiskey/bourbon
3 tablespoons corn starch
3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon butter/margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cloves crushed/chopped
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Milk, cream, sugar and cornstarch go in a pan over medium heat.
Vigorously whisk until it comes to a boil and then continue to boil for a minute, remove from heat.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks. Take 4 or 5 spoonfuls of the pan mixture and blend into the yolks. Pour this back into the pan, return to low heat.
Chop the chocolate in a blender for 30 seconds. Add this to the pan with the vanilla. Mix until everything is melted.
Crush the cloves (if you don’t have a mortar/pestle, you can use a hammer and something you don’t mind ruining). Remove gnarly chunks and add to pot with cinnamon.
Remove from heat and whisk in butter and bourbon.
Pour into individual serving cups (nice to share) or one big bowl (you selfish bastard).
Let cool and eat!
